RECIPE: The Rose Pink Cadillac

The springs and summers I’ve spent outdoors in Wilmington inspire most of my cocktails, and I love creating a thirst-quenching “porch pounder” that can be sipped on Starling’s patio.

In summer that can mean corn. It adds a bit of sweetness and saltiness to a cocktail while evoking the nostalgia that comes with the subtle corn flavor of summers passed.

End of Days gin is great for this cocktail, because it adds brightness and herbaceousness. I like Fever-Tree sodas because they have a wide selection of flavors perfect for experimentation by home and professional bartenders.

In this cocktail, I use their Sparkling Sicilian Lemonade to really home in on the nostalgia factor. It also hits botanical notes that keeps the gin and basil in harmony.
