RECIPE: The Autumn Island Punch

The cocktail, made with Momentum Rye, is a riff on a Barbados rum punch from Smuggler’s Cove in San Francisco.

The Autumn Island Punch

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ounces Momentum Rye Whiskey
  • ¾ ounce rich simple syrup (2:1 ratio sugar to water)
  • ¾ ounce lime juice
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters

Instructions
 

Make the rich simple syrup:

  • Regular simple syrup is made with equal parts sugar and water. A rich simple syrup ups it to two parts sugar and one part water.

Make the cocktail:

  • Fill a shaker with ice. Add the rye, rich simple syrup, lime juice and bitters.
  • Shake and pour into a rocks glass.
